Vale - Nenad Sosa
/Adelaide Croatia Raiders extends its deepest condolences to the Sosa family, on the passing of Nenad Šoša.
Nenad was the ultimate 'club man'. He started with Adelaide Croatia as a Junior, progressed up through the ranks playing seniors during the golden era of the late 80's and early 90's. After his playing career ended, he took up Junior Coaching throughout the 2000's - helping the club develop and set a new standard for its Junior program as it moved to the new homeground at Gepps Cross. Nenad continued to stay closely involved with club over many years holding various committee roles.
Most recently Nenad took on the responsibility of main grounds keeper for the playing fields and was instrumental in developing and maintaining our Pitch 1 into a world-class natural turf pitch for the FIFA Women's World Cup of 2023. His care and dedication to it still evident today as a legacy for current and future players to enjoy.
More important than any of his achievements for the club however was the type of person he was. Nenad was kind, he was always happy and smiling, always willing to help without hesitation in whatever task or role was required. He was a true gentleman of complete integrity and a dear friend to many.
Nenad's contribution and dedication to our club was immense, and without it, we wouldn't be where we are today - thank you Nenad.
On behalf of the entire Adelaide Croatia Raiders community our deepest sympathies go to Dragica, Tom, Marcus and Michael and all the extended Šoša families.
Pocivao u Miru Bozjem. Rest in Peace Nenad Šoša.
